John B. Mumford was the Founding Partner of Crosspoint Venture Partners, a venture capital firm, which was founded in 1982. Mumford was a co-founder and chairman or director of five public companies: Hello Direct, Inmac, Office Club (Office Depot), Ariba and E2open. Mumford co-founded and funded numerous private companies during his 40+ year career. In the 1980s and 1990s, Mumford served on the NVCA Board of Directors and was the second recipient in 2001 of the International Business Forum’s Venture Capital Lifetime Achievement Award.* Mumford served in the United States Navy and worked for IBM Systems and KPMG Consulting earlier in his career. Mumford received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Arizona State University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Mumford is a Certified Public Accountant.
